I go out and buy something- something I never buy and a day or so later someone gives me that very thing. As a gift. It’s weird. I mean really weird. Examples: fig newtons. I never buy them. They sounded good so I got a package. Then someone brings me a box not a week later. Seem small? Try this: new shirts. I buy ONE because it was on sale and I can use a nice shirt. And then a friend gives me three bags of NICE clothes. Timing? Anyone?

Maybe when I think of buying something, I should just wait a week and see if someone is going to give it to me first.

Thursday we sent the boys to school – 2nd grade and kindergarten. Toby came home with adorable snippets of his day (at lunch he said he “had a good time”) and that he has his first friend, Drake.

Caleb spoke of his class with more reserve and said this year started off better than last year, but didn’t give any more details. I am looking forward to hearing all about school from them both each afternoon.

Soccer should start soon, too, which I think will be fun. I always liked watching people I know play sports. Even better if they’re your child!

They are getting so big. It was confirmed for me when Thursday morning I went to cross the street with them for the bus stop and Toby put up his hand and said, “You don’t need to go with us, Mom. We’re ok.”

Ok.
